Harm Reduction Services
We are excited to announce new opioid prevention and harm reduction services in Union City. Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissioners are proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Partners in Prevention to bring expanded opioid prevention and harm reduction services to Union City.
Harm Reduction Kiosk
With the support of Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Union City Board of Commissioners, in partnership with the Hudson Pride Center, we proudly unveiled the city’s first-ever Harm Reduction Kiosk on Saturday, September 13th.
The kiosk is located at the Hudson Pride Center’s Union City Office at 4428 Bergenline Ave, and is open to the public. It will offer free access to Narcan (Naloxone), first aid kits, hygiene kits, and educational materials on prevention and wellness.

Prescription Medication Drop Off
You can now dispose of your unused and expired household medications, safely and securely, at any time: 24/7/365 at the Union City Police Department, 3715 Palisade Ave, Union City, NJ 07087. The special Project Medicine Dropbox looks like a mailbox but it is clearly marked.
Project Medicine Drop is an important part of New Jersey’s solution to this problem, and the Union City Police Department has joined this important initiative.
